President of Ghana Akufo-Addo Pledges An Improved Economic


The current President of Ghana, Nana Akufo-Addo, who won the 2016 presidential election against the incumbent, John Dramani Mahama, by a margin of 9.45%, is committed to serving his citizens through the implementation of the following schemes, viz:
i. Implementation of Ghana National Identification Card

ii. Implementation of free Senior High School in the country come September

iii. Restoration and review of teachers’ and Nurses allowances

v.i Roll-out of one constituency and one million dollars

v. Introduction of Zongo development fund

In my brief remarks to the gathering, I announced that government will fund the cost of public Senior High Schools for all those who qualify for entry from September this year.

“By free Senior High School, we are committed to that, in addition to tuition which is already free. There would be no admission fees, no library fees, no science center fees, no computer laboratory fees, no examination fees, no utility fees; there will be free textbooks, free boarding and free meals, and day students will get a meal at school for free. Free Senior high School will also cover agricultural, vocational and technical institutions at the high school level”: President Nana Akufo Addo reiterated in his address.
