Sango – Ijoko Road may have been abandoned: CCSC

Road construction is one major infrastructural amenity that promotes quick, top notch national development and primarily use by vehicular and pedestrian traffic density; with a network connecting villages, towns, cities and metropolis.

The design of road is considered part of highway engineering of designing a road for its environment in order to extend its longevity and reduce maintenance, especially, when drainage and environmental considerations are a major concern. Generally, Nigeria’s roads are factually in a state of unworthiness of vehicular movement.

Governor Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun State committed to developing and giving a new face to major roads in twenty (20) Local Government Area(s) and thirty – Seven (37) Local Council Development Area(s) of the State. Sango – Ijoko road construction linking Akute and Ojodu, Berger, among other 40 roads Construction, started in 2014; which plunged the affected residents into a state of joy.

The resident Association of this area decried in an interview that there were indications pointing towards the direction of neglect and abandon of the construction work after the commissioning of Forty roads by President Buhari in 2016, to mark Forty years Anniversary of the state.

People of this area pin their faith on Governor Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun State.
